The house is on Estrada de Santa Eulália in Gondar, a rural parish of Vila Nova de Cerveira, in Portugal's far north-west. This is village Alto Minho: green all around, the river fifteen minutes away, and the A3 motorway a few minutes off, so arriving and leaving is simple.
There are three bedrooms: two with double beds and a third with a bunk of two singles, plus a sofa bed for children. There are two bathrooms, both with showers. In total the house takes up to six guests. The living room has a pellet stove and the house has radiators — together they make all the difference in a Minho winter.
Check-in is self-service with a door code, from 3pm. Check-out is by noon.

How many people does the house sleep?
Up to six, in three bedrooms: two with double beds and a third with a bunk of two single beds. The third bedroom also has a sofa bed meant for children.
Is the pool private?
Yes. The pool is in the house's patio and is for guests only. Use is at guests' own responsibility, and children must be supervised at all times.
How does check-in work?
It's self check-in: the keys are in a coded lockbox, so nobody has to meet you and there's no cut-off time. Arrival is from 3pm — come whenever suits you.
What time is check-out?
By 12 noon.
Are pets allowed?
No, the house doesn't take pets.
Can you smoke?
Not indoors. In the outdoor patio, yes.
Is there air conditioning?
No. The house stays cool, and for winter it has a pellet stove and radiator heating.
Is there parking?
Yes — private, inside the property.
Does the house work in winter?
Yes. The living room has a pellet stove, and the Alto Minho keeps going outside summer — the river, the greenway, Valença, Tui and the hills are all still there.
How does payment work? Is there a deposit?
You pay 50% when you book and the remaining balance 7 days before arrival. We don't ask for a security deposit.
What if I have to cancel?
Payments already made are non-refundable. That's the policy shown at checkout before you confirm, and it's the same for both houses. If something comes up, call us — we won't promise here what the policy doesn't say, but it's always better to talk.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Yes, both are included. The towels are bath towels — there are no separate pool towels, but you're welcome to take the bath ones outside.
Is there a cleaning fee?
No. Cleaning is included in the price, with no separate fee.
Is there a cot for a baby?
Yes, there's a travel cot with a mattress. Bedding isn't included, so bring cot sheets. We don't have a high chair.
